ETYMOLOGICAL NOTE. Named for Colonel Jerzy Bajan, hero of the
Polish Air Force (victorious in International Air Challenge 1935), during II
World War Liaison Officer between R.A.F. and Polish Air Force in Great Britain,
flown over 30 fighter war missions in spite of half paralysed hand. Uncle of
J. Proszynski .
