Conclusion: comparison of genital organs do not seem indicate spliting this species into two, lowland and highland species. In any case these forms are apparently closely related; the differences may be due to variation and, or post mortem changes during long preservation in alcohol. It seems that methods of comparison of types and a few specimens available, have served well 40 years ago but are not adequate for the present day requirements (molecular, especially DNA, and behavioral comparisons).
