Diagnoses of genera of South East Asia: Piranthus (8-9; ?). A genus consisting of only two species, with the type P. decorus 
Thorell, 1895 coming from Myanmar. The female cephalothorax is flat and in plan is a broad oval, truncated at the front but almost complete
 at the rear. It is totally black with some white pubescence on the sides near the front and some short, erect, pale 
hairs on top. The female palps are yellowish-white. The rounded abdomen is twice as long as wide. It is basically black with 
a dark, narrow, median stripe in the middle of a wide light median band that does not reach the spinnerets. The legs are very 
short with the front pair much more robust than the rear pair. They are reddish-brown in colour  with black annulations.
