Diagnoses of genera of South East Asia: Nicylla (8; 6-9). Simon was uncertain where to place the pair of N. sundevalli, Thorell, 1890. However, the drawings by Proszynski, 1968 of the male palp and chelicera, as well as the habitus, indicates that N. sundevalli is close to Thiania (p. 317) and in particular to T. bhamoensis. Distribution: Nicylla is known only from ... [Sumatra] . General remarks: Most of these genera are known only from south east Asia. Although there are still no habitat details, genitalia and occasionally other drawings are now available for many of them. In the original descriptions and in Simon's salticid classification, mention is sometimes made of close and more familiar relatives. The latter will be discussed in more detail in due course.
