Genus Gambaquezonia Barrion et Litsinger, 1995

G. itimana

Murphy & Murphy 2000: 292-293. Diagnoses of genera of South East Asia: Gambaquezonia (6; ?). This is a new genus erected by Barrion and Litsinger in 1995 for a single female collected in the Philippines. From the description and drawings it appears to belong to the group of long pale green spiders which include Orthrus and Asemonea, The carapace is oblong, almost twice as long as broad with a wide, indented rear edge. The eye pattern is 2,2,2,2. The abdomen is oblong and tapers gradually from a wide, truncate front to a truncate rear. The fairly spiny legs are long and slender, with legs I slightly stouter than the rest. The carapace is pale yellow with the black band which surrounds the eyes continuing as a black line to the rear margin. The abdomen is yellow with a few longitudinal grey stripes in the front half and a wide, transverse black band followed by two lateral black spots in the rear half. The legs are yellow with ventrolateral dark stripes on some of the segments.
Distribution: Known only from the Philippines.
