Murphy & Murphy 2000: 271. Diagnoses of genera of South East Asia: Genus: Charippus (; 5-6). The single male of C. errans Thorell, 1895 was said to be close to Euophrys (p. 342). A redescription of this male together with drawings of the palp, chelicerae and habitus is provided by Wanless, 1988. Distribution: Charippus is known only from Myanmar. Belongs to: Old Monotypic genera. General remarks: Although there are still no habitat details, genitalia and occasionally other drawings are now available for many of them. In the original descriptions and in Simon's salticid classification, mention is sometimes made of close and more familiar relatives. Murphy & Murphy 2000: 271.
