NB1. Differs by proportions of bulbus to embolus and conductor from Yllenus saliens (O. P.-Cambridge, 1876)
(see Logunov, Marusik 2003b: 63); long distance between collecting localities in the zone of extensive speciation of Yllenus,
makes doubtful conspecificity of these forms .
NB2. Dr Logunov has written himself label "holotypus" to the unidentified specimen from the original locality, assuming
that I have forgotten to label it myself. However that specimen was sent to me later by the collector, after the
manuscript was already in press; the real holotype was labelled properly - J. Proszynski.

Some confusion about types of this species in Logunov, Marusik 2003b: 98. The only specimen known to be seen
by Simon himself is kept in the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris and is labelled "Yllenus flavociliatus
Simon, Mongolia Sept. (Potanin)" [by the way, "Sept." does not mean month of September, but is an abbreviation
of "Septentrionalis" meaning Northern = "Northern Mongolia"] and given the collection number "13347".
Two females of that species in the collection of the Institute of Zoology in Skt Petersburg were found by myself
among non-identified collections in then Leningrad Institute of Zoology (ZIN) in December 1971-March 1972,
I have identified them and labelled. The label is signed "det. [determinavit = identified by] J. Proszynski". Why
specimens from obviously the same expedition of Potanin were not labelled by Simon? Most probably they have
not been sent to Simon, and were left in Skt Petersburg. They are not syntypes, and have no nomenclatorical
standing. They could be called "topotypes" ["specimes from the original locality"], but none of them can be
designated "lectotype".
