Diagnoses of genera of South East Asia: Langona (?; 4.9-5.8). In appearance this genus is close to that of Aelurillus described above. One species was first from recorded from S. China in 1993. The dark brown cephalothorax has two longitudinal, parallel lines of white setae running from the rear eyes to the rear edge. The abdomen is black with a longitudinal, median stripe of white setae. The sides of the abdomen are whitish.
Distribution: Langona is a smallish genus consisting of a dozen or so species. Most of the species described originally, including the type, come from Africa. However, a few species occur further east to India and Tadzhikistan. One species, L. bhutanica, from Bhutan has been recorded recently from S. China. Murphy & Murphy 2000: 274.
